PRODUCTION & PROCESSING
From field to final product, discover the careful process that transforms rooibos leaves into premium tea.
HARVESTING
The first step is harvesting the leaves from the Aspalathus linearis plant. This is typically done by hand to ensure the best quality leaves are selected.
CUTTING
The needle-like branches are cut into smaller fractions, preparing them for the fermentation process.
DRYING
The tea is sun-dried to the optimal moisture content, developing its characteristic reddish-brown colour and rich flavour profile.
SIEVING & BLENDING
Bulk bags are delivered to the rooibos processing facility, where the contents are carefully decanted before being sieved into different components. The finest, top-quality fractions are selected and blended to achieve consistent specifications.
