THE SOLAR ENERGY PROJECT
Our factory roof is now a working solar field, quietly turning daylight into the power that cleans, sifts, cuts, pasteurises and packs every batch that leaves our doors. On a bright Western Cape morning, the machines are humming on energy that arrived free, silent and without a single puff of smoke.
Why this matters to us?
Rooibos is endemic to a single corner of the planet. Warmer seasons, thinner rainfall and shifting weather are not abstractions for our grower; they are this year’s harvest. Reducing the carbon, we put into the air is one of the most direct ways we can defend the fynbos, the farms and the families that grow with us.
Going solar sits alongside the rest of our stewardship work; cleaner processing, less waste, water used sparingly, and long partnerships with the people who tend the veld.
Small, deliberate commitments, made again and again.
